Stayed here on 08th April as we had family staying local. The atmosphere was amazing there was a comedian on who was hilarious!! The owners Gareth and Tash were absolutely sound! Everyone made us feel welcome and we would 100% go back if we are in Cardiff again. Thanks all for an amazing stay. Charl & Sian x

First visit in years, many many years. What a transformation!! Very elegant interior, and new beer garden is top notch indeed. Had already eaten a Sunday lunch before a spontaneous visit but looking forward to sampling the delightful looking menu forthwith. Very friendly and attentive staff, most pleasurable visit

Lovely and attentive staff, great food, and wonderful cosy rooms. Booked in for a family occasion in the area. We were greeted warmly, and though our booking had been late, we were checked in with zero trouble and shown to our room before having an absolutely wonderful meal in the dining room, with some of the best lamb I have ever eaten in my life. Our room was lovely and clean, though they could have provided more than one each of shower gel and shampoo for a double occupancy. We also appreciated, as smokers, the ability to sneak out on to the back balcony after closing hours to enjoy a smoke. The staff also very graciously granted us some extra time to check out as we got ourselves together before leaving, and already had to wood fire in the main pub close to roaring when we descended for a final drink before leaving. All in all, a lovely stay which I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. Would definitely stay again, but would book with more notice to make sure we got the room of our choice!

The owner is lovely and does his best to promote the venue. I went there to a business networking event and made some valuable acquaintance. I hope to go there some day to get some work done on my laptop I would love to see more food choices there :)

First impression after a break from drinking here due to the brewery taking absolutely ages to get new people in Really enthusiastic new person (Mike) running it. He's got loads of really good ideas so I hope he makes a go of it. Price wise I'd rate it as a Penarth medium/high.

4 of us for Sunday lunch today - and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were amazing. Really helpful and accommodating. Prices were great. Would totally recommend the Cefn Mably. One of us had the apple crumble, but was a bit disappointed with the lack of crumble but…. We were all really pleased. And a lovely afternoon in the beer garden too!

Nice place. Lamp didn't work in our room and the towels looked very old. The cups were dusty. Otherwise nice and clean. Beds were cosy. Nice and polite staff. 20 charge for the dog for one night seems excessive to me. Great idea of a key with a fob so we could get in and out anytime. Free car park with security gates was great. Food was expensive and not must to choose from. Shop right outside. Overall a nice place for a comfortable stay.

The beer garden is nice and the drinks were good. The food was also good, despite taking a while arrive. However they accidentally gave me an extra portion of fries, which they then proceeded to take from me after I had started eating them and served them to someone else without even returning to the kitchen. Bearing in mind there is a global pandemic and hygiene is very important.
